Substance Abuse

Central Plains Center currently operates Reed Adolescent Center, a 12-bed residential substance abuse treatment facility for adolescent boys. This is a 90-120 day treatment program that seeks to help in the recovery process and reduce substance abuse. A snapshot of the intensive residential program includes Individual and Group Counseling, Drug and Alcohol Education, Life Skills, Family Education and Therapy Session, HIV / STD Education, Nicotine Education, Structured Recreational Activities, Physical Health and Exercise, AA / NA Meetings. Clients are able to attend school during their stay and participate in a credit recovery program through the ASH/ Plainview ISD program. During treatment, clients will gain self-esteem, responsibility, integrity and most importantly the tools to live a sober life!

We also offer an outpatient program for adolescents, both boys and girls. Level of care and types of services will focus on providing recovery skills, developing self-awareness and self-esteem, learning personal self-care, learning to set realistic goals, and relapse prevention.

Central Plains Center also offers Adult Outpatient Substance Abuse Services. Adults within the service area will have the opportunity to be screened, assessed and treated for substance use disorders in an outpatient setting. Clients will see a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in individual sessions, as well as counseling groups if desired.
